Mackmyra Vit Ek is about the encounter between the new American white oak and the Swedish smoke recipe.
A powerful, well-balanced whisky with an intense cask character from the American oak. Where the mild, full-bodied peatiness transitions into herbal nuances and tones of apricot and figs.
Mackmyra Vit Ek is a robust whisky where each sip tells a complex story culminating in a long finish with sweet undertones.
Limited to 4800 bottles and only available in Sweden.
Nose: An intense yet gentle smoke is the first sensation to hit the nose. Behind the smoke, sweet aromas of tropical and dried fruit emerge, along with spicy notes and dark chocolate. The whisky should be aired long enough to fully reveal its aromatic and flavorful profile.
Taste: The smoke is mild with herbal undertones. Spicy pepper and ginger are finely balanced by the gentle smoke. Sweetness in the form of red autumn apples and figs is noticeable, as are oak cask notes.
Aftertaste: The finish is long, balanced, and tastefully wrapped in a veil of smoke. Orange and chocolate contribute to the sweet tones dominating the finish. However, there are also hints of exotic spices and tobacco leaves.

Vit Ek has been aged for 10 years in Bodås Mine, 50 meters underground.
Our smoky distillate, crafted with Swedish peat and juniper twigs, has slowly matured exclusively in American oak casks, waiting to reach its full potential.
